Lead Developer Relations Engineer
Launch Katalon’s new AI testing product by building hands-on demos, engaging developer communities, and turning real-world feedback into lasting adoption.
Founded in 2016, Katalon is the category leader in AI-augmented software testing, empowering hybrid testers - those blending manual, automation, and AI skills - to deliver exceptional digital experiences. Katalon enables software teams of any size to deliver world-class customer experiences faster, easier, and more efficiently.
Since its first launch, Katalon has experienced tremendous growth, serving more than 30,000 teams across 80+ countries, many of which are in the Fortune Global 500. Katalon has been named a G2 Leader in software testing for 11 consecutive quarters and a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years.
About the role
We’re launching a new AI product that helps developers test code written with AI coding tools.
You’ll be the person developers know for it: giving talks and demos, running workshops, creating technical content, and building the community that turns early interest into real adoption.
The challenge: this role is half public-facing, half building. One day you’re on stage or running a workshop; the next you’re building a demo, an integration or a sample project that shows developers what the product can do. You’ll work directly with Katalon’s leadership and the product team, and bring what developers say back into the product.
What you will own
Be the public face of the launch. Give talks, demos, and livestreams at developer meetups, conferences, and online events across Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Recruit and activate pilot users. Bring the right developers into the pilot program, help them get a first useful result, and keep them engaged.
Build demos and integrations. Create sample projects, demo apps and integrations with developer tools that show the product’s value in minutes.
Run growth experiments end to end. Form a hypothesis, build and improve the website or landing page with design support, set up measurement, and follow results from acquisition through to activation and repeat use. Scale what works and stop what doesn’t.
Close the feedback loop. Bring developer feedback and pain points back to the product team, with clear evidence of what to improve.
Turn early users into product insight. Track awareness, sign-ups, activation and community engagement, and double down on the channels that bring the right users. Improve messaging and onboarding, and bring the product team evidence that helps them decide what to build or change.
Improve discovery through SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Test how useful technical content, clear product information, and credible references affect visibility in search and AI-generated answers. Track the quality of the users they bring.
Job requirements
Broad, hands-on AI building experience. You’ve built useful software, agents, or automations and can show your work. You have deep practical experience with at least one agentic development tool, such as Codex, Claude Code, Kiro, or Cursor, and can quickly learn and compare others.
Strong product and market judgment. You can look beyond a feature list, recognize a valuable use case, identify who cares, and propose a credible way to reach them. You’re willing to challenge an attractive idea when the evidence is weak.
A track record in developer communities. You’ve built, led or been a visible part of developer communities, for example as a community organizer, meetup lead, open-source maintainer or developer program member.
Hands-on technical skills. A software engineering background, and comfortable building demos, sample projects and integrations (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, APIs, Git).
Very strong English, spoken and written. You can present to developers, partners and executives, handle live questions, and write clear technical content.
Developer empathy. You understand how developers work, what frustrates them, and how they decide whether a new tool is worth their time.
Self-driven. You’re comfortable owning a launch with high autonomy, moving fast, and measuring results honestly.
Preferred Experience
Experience with software testing, QA automation or CI/CD tooling
Developer relations or advocacy experience at a developer tools, B2B SaaS or AI company
A public profile developers already follow (GitHub, X, YouTube, technical blog)
